New Year’s Resolutions To Improve Your Pet’s Health

I love it when the New Year rolls around. I like to reflect on the past year and think about my focus for the new year. Since my Big Review Show of 2018 aired, I’ve had a few people ask me for easy doable changes they can make to improve their pet’s health and overall well-being and environment in 2019. I think the key to any changes is that they’re simple, apply them one at a time, and eventually stack them as you solidify each change.

With that said let’s get onto to some simple easy to apply changes that make a positive impact on your pet’s health and wellness.

Fresh Food

Each week fresh fruits and vegetables are on my shopping list for my family and that includes my dogs. Fresh food is a key component to good nutrition for people and pets. Research show that dogs who ate any green leafy vegetables, like broccoli, reduced the risk of developing bladder cancer by 90%! Likewise, dogs that consumed any yellow orange vegetables such as carrots reduced their risk by 70%! With stats like who wouldn’t want to give it to their pet. It’s easy to incorporate these fresh foods into your pet’s diet daily if you’re not already feeding a fresh food species appropriate diet. It’s a great inexpensive path to improved nutrition and here’s how you can do it.

Gently steam spinach, broccoli, kale, or carrots to break the cellulose walls down and feed 1 tablespoon per day. That’s it! Small change yet a mighty benefit.
