Here is part two of my Pinnacle® Pet Foods review. In my first #PinnacleHealthyPets post, I introduced you to their limited ingredient grain free foods. The bag of food, salmon and potato recipe arrived the very next day. Little did Mr. Twix know, this was his lucky day.

What’s In The Grain Free Salmon and Potato Recipe?

The salmon and potato recipe is grain free, the first ingredient is Pacific Northwest salmon. It’s rich in omega-6 and 3 fatty acids. Quality ingredients, pumpkin high in anti-oxidants, organic quinoa to support muscle development, and flax seed all grace this recipe.

A complete list of ingredients can be found here.

How I Transitioned Into The New Food

To avoid upsetting his tummy, I gradually introduced Pinnacle’s new line of food into his diet. The company says the recipes are good for sensitive tummies. This is how I made the transition.

Day 1-3 ~ 75% old food and 25% new food

Day 4-6 ~ 50% old food and 50% new food

Day 7    ~ 25% old food and 75% new food

Mr Twix

Mr. Twix sat happily in the kitchen waiting for me to prepare his new food. Switching from his usual food couldn’t have been easier. He loved the flavour, that’s always a good start. He did not experience any tummy upsets, and bathroom visits were normal and small, due to the natural fiber. Mr. Twix thoroughly enjoyed each meal, and his energy peaked.

Pinnacle’s History ~ The Holistic Difference

The vitamins, minerals and probiotics found in Pinnacle foods are in to provide a balanced diet for complete nutrition. They balance these ingredients in a special formula that delivers, complete and wholesome nutrition. Their goal is to provide you with a clear choice of optimum nutrition so that your dog will benefit from good health. All foods are made in their California plant.
